     GLOBAL AMERICAN (Franco) returns to level of solid runnerup try from two races back when beating recent two-time winner Very Thankful. WILANNAMOON (Bednar) was caught three wide past the ¼-pole after a sluggish start in last third-place try and trainer is having strong meet. SMART SUZZET (F Martinez) rallied nicely for second vs. class-dropping winner in last when dropping back to this level and is late threat again.
2ND RACE: Purse $13,500, thoroughbreds, fillies and mares, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.
     BELLA ANGELINA (Santos) opened a huge early lead in last strong win at this class level and 11-time winner rated behind the pacesetting runnerup in prior sharp victory. WARRENSDOLLARSIGNS (Bednar) won at higher class level over the local daytime one-mile oval two outs ago and will likely come from off the pace at this shorter route. OLEANDERPOLARBEAR (E Hernandez) faced recent 870-yard allowance winner Prophetinparadise in last third-place try and won nicely with rail rally at this level three outs ago.
3RD RACE: Purse $7,725, maidens, 2 year olds, 300 yards.
     VALIANT NIGHTS (E Nicasio) didn’t break alertly in last fifth-place trial outing and broke fast in recent 12.3 drill when leveling with nice stride late after lugging in solidly early. BEDUINOS ROYALCORONA (DeAlba) broke poorly while veering in to get bumped at the start of last seventh-place try as the heavy favorite and was second three outs ago vs. eventual futurity winner KVN Corona. GUSTO (C Mendez) broke off balance while veering out at the start of better-than-looked fourth-place debut and gets off the rail.
4TH RACE: Purse $11,520, claiming, 2 year olds, 300 yards.
     ROCKIN ASTEROID (Jensen) veered out at the start after breaking slow in last fourth-place trial outing. BAYMAX (Arriaga) showed ability in Arizona maiden win three outs ago when beating eventual local futurity qualifier Yanque. JESSADELUX (C Mendez) drifted out a few lanes leaving the gate when fourth in last out at higher level and lugged out early in prior fourth-place trial outing.

     JESSTAFIABLE (C Mendez) has been second in four of last five outs and gets her best chance here while making 11th start. FLYING RIGHT (Gomez) wasn’t badly beaten for second in last fourth-place try and was bumped steadily at intervals of prior tough trip. STILL COUNTING (Huerta) was nicely drawn on the outside in last third-place try and was .01 ahead of second choice here in prior third-place showing.
6TH RACE: Purse $10,360, claiming, 3 year olds, 300 yards.
     ROCKIN ENERGY (Jensen) galloped out well after sluggish start in last start vs. tougher and broke super in prior rapid maiden win. BLUEIST (Ayala) broke sharp when victorious under this rider in last and draws nice post again. FOOSEABILITY (DeAlba) overcame sluggish start to post neck win in last sharp outing but has been idle for 14 weeks.
7th RACE: Purse $12,600, allowance, 3 year olds and up, 330 yards.
     RIP TIDE (Ayala) was steadily bumped early and was bumped off stride near the 1/8-pole in last sixth-place Grade I Maturity. THAT’S IMPERIAL (Peinado) was well drawn for strong comeback win one month ago an qualified for last year’s Golden State Million Futurity. FREE SWINGER (DeAlba) faced the meet’s fastest 300-yard winner when fifth from the rail post in last and was strong second in fast race three outs ago.
8TH RACE: Purse $71,280, Bank Of America California Challenge, 3 year olds and up, 440 yards.
     FLASH N BLING (Ayala) had rugged trip in last Vessels Maturity showing when getting shut off at the start when bumped repeatedly before galloping out with much energy. THE CHARM OF CORONA (Jensen) accelerated nicely into the lead after a sluggish start when losing narrow photo in last Grade I Maturity. JUSTIFIED (E Nicasio) scored strong allowance win with a solid 9.51 final 1/8 in last over three-time 2016 Grade I futurity finalist Cartel Sixes.
