WYLIE N WYATT (Gomez) leveled with a strong 6.12 final 1/16 after lugging out steadily into the lane of last sharp win when claimed by hot outfit. CABO SAN LUCAS (Gavica) never stopped after sizzling a 23.16 second quarter fraction in last wire-to-wire vs. easier field six nights ago. JUST CHARMED (Russell) rallied nicely along the inside for second vs. stronger in last outing one month ago and should get fast pace to chase here.

RACE: Purse $7,000, thoroughbreds, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.
CAPTAIN SHAWN D (Charlton) tracked eventual $2,500 winner Grand Topper throughout in last runnerup try when claimed by strong barn and has hustling rider up. MACHO MANDATE (Gavica) overcame early traffic trouble to post sharp win in first start for new barn at this level three weeks ago. JOHNY BONITA (A Bautista) looked sharp when more prominent early than usual in last win at this level when defeating recent $2,000 winner Get Off The Sugar.

RACE: Purse $6,000, maiden stakes trial, 3 year olds, 350 yards.
CHECKEDBOUND (R Aceves) has been much improved in last two wins under this rider and was full of run past the wire after breaking sharp in last rapid victory. FIRST ELEMENT (Sanchez) showed terrific acceleration under a hand ride past the 1/8-pole in daylight maiden win as the 1-2 favorite. JENNIFERS CHALLENGE (Jensen) has been second in eight of nine starts and was strong second in stakes two outs ago when earning high 104 Equibase speed figure.

FONTAINBEBLEAU (Sanchez) was bumped out very hard leaving the gate when third as the favorite in comeback early last month. MEDEA (F C Rubio) galloped out with good interest in sixth-place comeback two weeks after veering in steadily to get bumped at the start. JESSI BLU (Nicasio) wasn’t badly beaten for second in last when facing rapid winner and looked solid in prior maiden victory.

NEW LOOK (R Aceves) sizzled to the night’s fastest 300-yard win after 15-week layoff in last outing six weeks ago and since returned with quick 18.0 gate drill. BANK STELLER (Sanchez) broke poorly before displaying big strides past the wire in last fourth-place try 15 weeks ago and posted the morning’s fastest 350-yard gate drill of 18.2 two weeks ago. A MERE LADY (Andrade) broke slow in fifth-place comeback and beat eventual trial winner Lil Sharky in runnerup debut two outs ago.

HIGHLANDER LASS (Sanchez) broke very slow in last outing to ignore and since posted encouraging 18.2 gate drill. EL BAIA (Arriaga) broke poorly while getting bumped in at the start of last fifth-place outing and gets his best distance here.

WARM FORM (R Aceves) ran to her powerful 11.9 gate drill in maiden win one month ago and was third in prior outing vs. eventual stakes runnerup Flame N Flash. CHICKS BOUDRO (Peinado) finished fast under vigorous urging in last runnerup try from the rail when competing in the night’s fastest 300-yard dash. OCEANIK (S Ramirez) was third in last year’s Ed Burke Million four outs ago and faced Los Alamitos Two Million finalist Madoff in last fourth-place trial outing.

RW RED WAVE (Sanchez) beat eventual maiden runnerup Bawdy in last narrow maiden victory and faced winners in first five tries.
