1ST RACE: Purse $7,500, thoroughbreds, maiden claiming, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.
     DOWNHILL RUN (Aragon) has been second in two tries at this level in 2018 and can be well positiond early. HIDDEN MY WAY (Sanchez) showed solid early speed when second with class drop to this level in first local try only seven nights ago. HUEY (Allen) lugged out throughout the turn when improved third in last needed out after 10-month layoff.
2ND RACE: Purse $8,000, thoroughbreds, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.
    CAN’T BEAT L.A. (Orozco) figures to have a big early lead in this paceless field while dropping in class but has been idle for three months. LITTLE JACK (Franco) had troubled along the inside near the ¼-pole when better-than-looked third in last and should get better tracking position with a switch to this outside post. COULDASHOULDADID (Sanchez) drops two class levels after last non-threatening fourth-place try and lands leading distance rider.
3RD RACE: Purse $10,000, maidens, 3 year olds and up, 870 yards.
     HACK (Payeras) has run well in both tries at this distance and dropped nose photo two outs ago vs. recent 870-yard $6,250 winner League Of Shadows. VALLEY BOY (Allen) moved nicely along the inside during the final 1/8 of runnerup debut at longer distance when well positioned early and has room to improve. HOLLYWOOD DANCER (E Gomez) recorded quick 4-furlong work one week ago while preparing for debut and is out of dam who earned $80,436.
4TH RACE: Purse $12,000, allowance, 3 year olds and up, 870 yards.
     PAPA G (Sanchez) tries hard every time and his on/off the pace versatility fits well in this speedy field. MAMA’S SECRETSTORM (Allen) showed terrific early speed when beating own sex in last start after four-month layoff fand has won 50 percent of her 14 starts. ADROSA SKY (Arias) needed last fourth-place Santa Anita outing after 34-week layoff and showed speed when winning at longer distance two outs ago over the daytime one-mile oval.
5TH RACE: Purse $8,500, maidens, fillies, 2 year olds, 300 yards.
     THE DIVAS DYNASTY (Ayala) outworked her company in both drills and reached out nicely under a hand ride during the final 1/16 of both works. EL OH EL (C Mendez) galloped out strong in both 12.5 drills for debut and was never used in first work. KINGMAN GIRL (E Gomez) was well in hand while lugging in during the final 1/16 of last improved 12.6 work.

6TH RACE: Purse $8,500, maidens, fillies, 3 year olds, 300 yards.
     ONE DASHING CHICK (C Mendez) looked very strong in 12.2 gate drill for comeback while under big during during final 1/16. FAVORITE BYE (Ayala) has been second in four of her last five outs and is quick from gate. BETTER THAN EVER (Huerta) broke fast before lugging in steadily during final 1/18 of 18.5 solo gate drill at 350 yards for return and draws comfortable post.
7TH RACE: Purse $8,500, maidens, 2 year olds, 300 yards.
     TAC ME UP (E Nicasio) broke sharp in both drills for debut and reached out nicely under hand ride in last 12.3 move. UGE (Ayala) also was quick from the gate in both works and finished nicely after scrambling in solidly at the start of last 12.4 drill. PROPAGANDIST (DeAlba) was only outworked by a nose in last 12.3 drill and broke in sluggish style in first 12.6 work.
8TH RACE: Purse $11,325, allowance, 3 year olds, 330 yards.
     DELIGHT WON (Huerta) was strong second in last vs. recent stakes runnerup Don’t Foose With Me and gets a positive post switch. HEADED FOR UTAH (C Mendez) was well drawn in last nose win at shorter route and dropped neck photo five outs ago vs. recent derby runnerup Black Fryday. ON THE LOOKOUT (E Nicasio) dropped back early and lost position midway after shifting in to get bumped leaving the gate in last tough trip.
9TH RACE: Purse $12,000, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 330 yards.
     ROYALTYS AUTHORITY (Lozano) looked powerful during the final 1/8 of last rapid win at this distance vs. easier and lands nice post here. MY FAVORITE CHECK (Peinado) broke super in last rapid victory over a wet track and runs hard every time. HOLD SWAY (Huerta) has run well from the rail post before and beat prior derby challenge runnerup Doctor Fantastic at this distance four outs back.
