1ST RACE: Purse $7,500, thoroughbreds, maiden claiming, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.
     SCORCHING HEAT (Guce) showed early speed in Santa Anita debut vs. much tougher two outs ago and has perennial leading distance rider up. WOW IT’S HOT (Santos) takes a big class drop and had morning’s fastest 3-furlong gate drill two weeks ago while preparing for first start in two months. SCATABOY (J Sanchez) was fourth vs. three class droppers in last outing at higher level and retains solid rider.
 
2ND RACE: Purse $9,500, thoroughbreds, claiming, fillies and mares, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.
     MAKAYLA’S WORLD (Bednar) disappointed vs. stronger in last pair, won nicely at this level three outs ago and gets a top distance rider. SEA SECRET (Jimenez) faded after having one-length lead leaving the backstretch chute in last sixth-place try vs. class-dropping winner and looms one to catch. B K MISS (Guce) stumbled while breaking slow in last to ignore and rallied for second two outs ago vs. recent $4,000 Tuscan Sun.
 
3RD RACE: Purse $13,000, allowance, 3 year olds and up, 870 yards.
     IT’S JUST BOB (Bednar) was strong second when well positioned on the inside on the far turn at this level in last and won easily for this rider three outs ago. ROUGH PASSAGE (J Sanchez) was less than one length behind top pick in last third-place try and new rider is having strong meet. APOLLITICAL GAMBLE (Arana) scored sharp 3300-yard win in last start and finished with nice stride in solo 36.80 drill for first 870-yard out.
 
4TH RACE: Purse $8,000, thoroughbreds, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 4 furlongs.
     OFF THE DEEP END (Guce) faded during the final 1/8 vs. much stronger in first local try and retains strong rider. MATTY’S TRIBAL (Santos) stumbled solidly while breaking very slow in last to ignore and wsa game third two outs ago vs. recent $4,000 winner Yankee Minister. SUNRISE LEGACY (J Sanchez) dueled for lead around the far turn when prevailing for neck victory at this level in last and faces three class droppers in this tougher spot.

5TH RACE: Purse $7,725, maidens, fillies, 2 year olds, 300 yards.
     HARD HEADED CHICK (Arana) was bumped out sharply at the start of last third-place trial out and is back with maidens. RUSH BGOSH (Arriaga) lugged in to the 1/8-pole when third form the rail in debut and showed nice stride in prior 12.3 gate drill. VOULEZ WAGON (J Nicasio) ran hard late while lugging in throughout when outworking company in 12.5 drill for debut.
 
6TH RACE: Purse $6,460, maiden claiming, 2 year olds, 300 yards.
     ASHLEY MADISON (Arvizu) takes a big class drop after last seventh-place trial out vs. winner who since captured Kindergarten. FAST 7 (C Mendez) borke sharp when tiring to fourth at higher level in last and also broke fast when distant third in debut. MARTINI CALL (DeAlba) lugged in steadily to the 1/8-pole in sixth-place debut when facing runnerup who next beat maiden $10,000 claimers.
 
7TH RACE: Purse $9,570, claiming, 3 year olds, 350 yards.
     HOOSE COOSE (Ayala) ran strong late for second in last pair, gets an extra 50 yards and draws a good post. ONE SWEET HIT (DeAlba) steps up in search of third straight win and defeated recent $8,000 runnerup Tillman in last sharp out. GLEN ELLYN (Peinado) shifted in briefly early after getting bumped in last fifth-place try at higher level when facing sizzling winner who was posting second straight allowance tally.
 
8TH RACE: Purse $9,670, claiming, 3 year olds, 300 yards.
     A LIL FIRE (E Nicasio) was bumped twice early and kept trying in last head setback vs. class-dropping winner and draws nice post. LIPS OF FIRE (Arvizu) removes flipping halter and gets positive post switch for new barn after breaking slow while bumped at the start of last tough trip. ONE FLYING ROSE (DeAlba) has come away nicely from outside post draws while no worse than third in last three tries and moves to an inside post here.
