1ST RACE: Purse $8,000, thoroughbreds, claiming, fillies and mares, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.
ROSIESCRUELLA (E Hernandez) has been privately purchased by leading quarter horse trainer Paul Jones since last fourth-place try when bothered during the final 1/16 and has early speed. PARALYZING EYES (Bednar) took up solidly when clipping heels at the ¼-pole of last fourth-place try vs. similar and retains strong rider. LA FORTUNDADA (Perez) dueled for lead to the ¼-pole before fading to fifth in last outing vs. class-dropping winner and drifted out during the final 1/16 when disqualified from second two outs ago.

2ND RACE: Purse $9,000, thoroughbreds, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 4 furlongs.
RAINSFORD (E Hernandez) has won three of his last four outs and is effective from on/off the pace. ALL MAGIC (Orozco) dueled hard for the lead in last runnerup try at longer distance when defeating third-place finisher who since won for $5,000. SYNCHROTRON (Bednar) broke poorly when stumbling at the start of lat fifth-place try and usually flashes much early speed.

3RD RACE: Purse $7,500, thoroughbreds, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 4 ½ furlongs.
SENOR PEGASUS (Rosales) is entered not to be claimed while making first start in seven months and won nicely at this level two outs ago. TRIBE OF GAMBLERS (Aragon) disappointed in last fourth-place try as the 4-5 favorite seven weeks ago and was no worse than third in prior three tries at this level. MAYDAY MALONE (Barrientos) faced much stronger $2,500 field in last fifth-place try and was third four outs ago vs. eventual $6,250 runnerup All Magic.

4TH RACE: Purse $12,000, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 870 yards.
CATCH GONZO (E Hernandez) beat stronger $5,000 field over a wet fast oval in last and speedster has captured three of last five outs. TRICKORTREAT (J Sanchez) overcame slow start when stumbling in last win at this distance and rider is doing well. BOUND FOR HEAVEN (Orozco) was bumped off stride when veering in solidly at the start of last fourth-place try and is capable of flashing early speed.

Pick Four Selections: $1 wager is $36. 5th Race (All); 6th Race (1,4); 7th Race (7); 8th Race (3,5,8). $1 wager is $72. 5th Race (All); 6th Race (1,2,4,5); 7th Race (7); 8th Race (3,5,8).

5TH RACE: Purse $7,915, claiming, 3 year olds and up, 330 yards.
STRAWFINDERS FIRST (Guymon) adds the flipping halter after dropping his head when away very slow in last to ignore. RACINGDOWNTHEHILL (Hernandez) stumbled while breaking slow in last fourth-place try when moving strong past the wire and has won from the rail post. INDEED IVORY (DeAlba) drops two class levels after last sixth-place try and both wins came under this rider.

6TH RACE: Purse $6,060, maiden claiming, 3 year olds and up, 300 yards.
TEDDY BREWSKY (C Mendez) drops into much easier spot after last fourth-place try from the rail post and broke sharp in two runnerup tries last October. VF STRONG BUZZ (Boag) was fourth vs. eventual $8,000 winner Dukes Encore in first local try nearly two months ago and meets softer field here. COSTLY DASHER (Roman) had run in reserve during the final 1/8 after veering out to get bumped at the start of last sixth-place try and gets a positive post switch.

7TH RACE: Purse $6,000, Winter Championship trial, 4 year olds and up, 400 yards.
ZOOMIN FOR SPUDS (Ayala) won six stakes here last year including the Champion Of Champions and makes few mistakes from the gate. STEVIE B FIRST CASH (Alvarez) excels over a wet oval and is very quick from the gate. FLAY (R Sanchez) runs strong races at times and beat three-time 2015 derby winner Forget It at this distance five outs ago.

8TH RACE: Purse $6,000, Winter Championship trial, 4 year olds and up, 400 yards.
BH LISAS BOY (DeAlba) was as three-time Grade I runnerup here last year and draws a nice outside post. HE LOOKS HOT (Huerta) is much better than last Champion Of Champions outing indicates and is a two-time Grade I winner. RITE REGAL (C Mendez) won two derbies during a seven win 2016 campaign and is back at best distance.
