Priceless Feature continues to love Remington Park as he posted his second straight stakes win of the season and the biggest win of his career in the Grade 1, $250,000 Remington Park Championship. The victory was scored over a stellar field and it earns Priceless Feature an automatic starting berth to the 2013 Champion of Champions to be held on Saturday, December 14.Priceless Feature joins defending Champion of Champions winner Rylees Boy as the first two horses with berths to this year’s $750,000 quarter mile classic. The now 8-year-old Rylees Boy earned his berth by winning the Los Alamitos Winter Championship earlier this season.

Owned by Ed Melzer of Edmond, Okla. and trained by Eddie Willis, Priceless Feature was ridden by Jimmy Brooks who was impressed with the gelding’s run. “He really left there and I knew after about the third jump they were going to have to come and get him. I think he’s getting a lot better, he’s been leaving well and finishing.”

The 4-year-old took over with about 150 yards remaining in the 440-yard race. Ochoa, American Quarter Horse racing’s all-time leading money earner, was also coming on with a rally but could not match the winner’s effort as he settled for second, a half-length behind. The Long Knife, who shared the early lead along with A Toss Up, relinquished the advantage but held for the show.

Priceless Feature covered the distance in :20.981 seconds to set a new Remington Park record at the measure. Bred in Oklahoma by Sam Green, Priceless Feature is by Feature Mr Jess from the Corona Cartel mare Southern Price. He won his eighth Remington Park race in his career and his 10th overall from 20 lifetime starts.

All-time leading money earner Ochoa added boosted his record setting career total to $2,669,741 for owner's J Bar & Ranch LLC, Katsy and Monte Cluck and Douglas Benson. Trainer C. Dwayne Gilbreath saddled Ochoa to his first start since an off-the-board performance in the Texas Classic Derby (G1) on November 10, 2012.
