CHRIS WADE’S SIMULCAST PRIMER FOR SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7 FOR EVANGELINE DOWNS
7TH 2-JW FIRST MAGIC has moved forward on my charts in each subsequent start for a solid up and coming barn. The improving sort has earned this events best figure from 3 straight efforts and a repeat of any should put this runner in the charmed circle. The one to hold as the public choice, enough said. 5-TRES ZOE is a big bodied gelding who has shown some late running ability in both career starts after losing multiple lengths away from the gate in each. If the long strider can break within hailing distance of his rivals tonight, a fast finishing bay blur this runner could be at a nice price for top notch connections that are on fire as of late. 9-MANSOFGREATNESS will be the "bombs away play" in the simulcast opener this evening for a good small barn. In his last, the gelding flew the last half of a troubled journey and he galloped out strongly thru the clubhouse turn. If a better beginning is "in the air tonight" a big threat he could be at a huge mutual. A must use in all your exotics.
8TH 6-DASHN TO THE BACK exits a quality filled event and the quickster almost held on versus our top choice 21 night's ago. With a slight figure edge along with a lessening of 50 yards, the brown filly should be tough to catch as one of the deserving favorites. 8-JJS BLACK LACE went well late for fifth against our top choice after another less than stellar start for the strife finding gray runner. If the fast finisher can somehow leave the "metal monster" in a decent fashion this evening, a medium priced late threat this gelding should be. 3-TF EYES R STRUTTIN looks way overmatched on paper but believe me, this filly has a look as she's improved immensely and goes for new connections that are 40% with recent acquisitions. If either of her last two efforts with everything (trouble @ variant) factored in are repeated in here, a live long-shot the good looker will be.
9TH 6-STRONG YEAR has earned a figure in every career start that puts him on top of this weak for the level finale field. The good looker has disappointed in 5 of 7 efforts as the public choice, but...tonight's the night this entrant will finally git er dun. The one to catch, enough said. 8-THREESTRIDESYOUROUT is a trouble prone runner deluxe who has the ability to grab a big piece of the pie with an elusive clean start and journey. Give the galoot like 5 year old the once over in the post parade as he can get rambunctious at times. 7-JESSELIKEPEMON will be the rising price long-shot in here for a solid barn that can get a big mutual runner home on occasion. In his last 17 night's ago, the 3 year old finished a "better than looked" 5th against a decent cast of rivals despite a much troubled trip. A clean exit should put him in the trifecta lottery. A must use to spice up all your exotic wagers.
Tonight's PRICE PLAYER goes in the second leg of hugely popular and always rewarding early Pick Four. In Race 2, let's take a gander at the rail runner # 1-FEELING THE JUMP who finished a solid 2nd versus a quality opponent that had won a restricted handicap earlier in the season. In the geldings LOS AL debut, this big bodied runner finished strongly despite breaking only ok from the "metal monster" and skiing some late. With a competitive career best figure in his holster from his most recent and with expected improvement in his 2nd back off the 152 night respite, let's push the long strider harshly at a medium mutual. The BEST BET on the race-card will be in Race 4 for a barn that's been doing well (22%) these last 30 night's. The improving # 1-TRIAL OF FAITH finished a super 2nd in her first effort back from layoff of over a year at exactly 370 evenings. The gray got slightly fractious in the gate prior to breaking a tad slow at the gate opening versus a solid cast foe the level. After a decent start, this filly put forth a big run past the gap on her own to threaten the heavy chalk. With a returning victory within her reach, the long striding runner went to drifting in steadily late to lose by a scant nose at the wire. If a straight run to the wire is in the offing tonight, a huge contenda this entrant will be from the get-go.
