GREAT BREEDERS' CUP CLASSIC HEADLINES OCTOBER 24-25 CHAMPIONSHIP RACES

Horse of the Year Curlin will go after his second consecutive victory in the Breeders' Cup Classic when the best horses in the world unite on Saturday, October 25. Richest North American racing Thoroughbred of all time, Curlin has looked tremendous in the build up to the $5 million Classic and he'll be facing a quality group that is expected to include the impressive Casino Drive and rising star Commentator.

Los Alamitos Race Course is looking forward to showcasing this outstanding race as part of the excitement of the 2008 Breeders' Cup World Championship on October 24th and 25th at Santa Anita. This is the silver anniversary of the Breeders' Cup World Championship. The 25th edition of this great event will feature two days of world-class racing, with 14 champions crowned and $25 million in purses on the line.

The Breeders' Cup World Championship races for fillies and mares will take place on Friday, October 24, with five races on the dirt and turf for the graceful distaffers of Thoroughbred racing. Then nine outstanding races will take place on the following day, concluding with the $5 million Classic and the expected matchup of Curlin against the Japanese invader Casino Drive and the talented Commentator on Saturday, October 25.

Los Alamitos will open at 8:30 a.m. on Friday and at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday for the exciting Breeders' Cup action. Grandstand admission is $3; Clubhouse admission is $5; and admission to the beautiful Vessels Club is $10. Los Alamitos has a slew of activities slated for the Breeders Cup:
