Los Alamitos Race Course is proud to host the 34th running of the Grade 1 $500,000 Champion of Champions at 440 yards on Saturday, December 10.

The Champion of Champions is the richest event for older horses in the nation and it usually decides the eventual World Champion Quarter Horse. Legendary Quarter Horses like Charger Bar, Dash For Cash and Refrigerator have won the Champion of Champions since its inception in 1972. All in all 22 of the 33 winners have been crowned World Champions.

In addition to the Champions of Champions on Saturday, December 10th, Los Alamitos will play host to the $1.6 million estimated Los Alamitos Million and the $35,000 Los Alamitos Juvenile Stakes on Friday, December 9th. The weekend closes out with the running of the $35,000 First Down Dash Handicap on Sunday, December 11th.
