Los Alamitos Race Course is proud to host the 35th and richest running ever of the Grade 1 $600,000 Champion of Champions at 440 yards on Saturday, December 9.

The Champion of Champions is the richest event for older horses in the nation and it has traditionally impacted several championship divisions over the years. All in all 22 of the 34 winners have been crowned World Champions. Legendary Quarter Horses like Charger Bar, Dash For Cash and Refrigerator have won the Champion of Champions since its inception in 1972.

In addition to the Champions of Champions on Saturday, December 9, Los Alamitos will play host to the $2,000,000 guaranteed Los Alamitos Two Million and the $35,000 Los Alamitos Juvenile Stakes on Friday, December 8th. The weekend closes out with the running of the Marathon National and Southern California Derby.

This special website will feature profiles of each of the 10 Quarter Horses that will be part of the 2006 Champion of Champions.
