LOS ALAMITOS NOW OFFERING THE PLACE PICK ALL WAGER
Los Alamitos Race Course is now offering the popular $1 Place Pick All wager on a nightly basis. The multi-race wager asks handicappers to pick at least one horse in each race to finish second or better. The player with the most winners at the end of the wager will receive the payout. On Thursday, August 21, the payout of more than $800 came to those that selected seven of eight.
The pool on Thursday, August 21 was nearly $5,000. Last week, a Friday night payout of $2,767.60 came to those that selected nine of 10 in the Place Pick All wager. The Place Pick All Wager returns on Friday night with an expected pool of more than $5,000 starting with race #1.
The Place Pick All has resulted in some high payouts at Hollywood Park & Santa Anita. The Place Pick All will make its Los Alamitos debut on Thursday, August 14 in the first race.
The Place Pick All Wager will continue on Saturday night at Los Alamitos, as the wager will feature the first 10 races of the night. First post is 7:00 p.m. The pool for the Place Pick All Wager on Friday could reach $10,000.
The Hollywood Park record payout
for their Place Pick All is $54,276.80 set on July 4, 2001. More recently, the
Hollywood Park $1 Place Pick All paid $21,430 on a $16 ticket on April 23, 2005.
There is no carryover on the Los Alamitos Place Pick All wager, so the
horseplayers with the most winners will cash a payout. The Los Alamitos Place
Pick All wager will consist of up to 10 races and will get underway with the
first race on the card.
On most Thursdays, the wager will
consist of 8 races; while on most Fridays and Sundays the wager will consist of
10 races. On Saturday, the Los Alamitos Place Pick All will start on race #1 and
conclude after race #10. Similar to the popular Pick Four, the $1 Los Alamitos
Place Pick All is a wager that will offer horseplayers a good chance to win a
