-Won the Ed Burke Futurity with Heza Secret Diamond in 2004

       The Singletaries opened up their racing operation seven years ago and have since watched it grow into one of the most efficient and successful operation in Southern California. The roots for their success were planted in 2003 when the couple purchased the babies Heza Secret Diamond, Lindas Dasher and Quick To Jitter at public auctions in California. All three babies went on to run in at least one Grade 1 futurity in '04.
 Quick To Jitter was the first to make it to the highest level, running in the Kindergarten Futurity. While Lindas Dasher soon followed with a solid runner-up efforts in both the Ed Burke, PCQHRA Breeders Futurity and Governor's Cup Futurity. It was, however, Heza Secret Diamond who hit it big by winning the $418,000 Ed Burke Memorial Futurity. Lindas Dasher's consistency earned her the title of PCQHRA champion 2-year-old filly.  By the way, the Singletaries paid $23,000 for Heza Secret Diamond and $22,000 for Lindas Dasher. 
     "People tell us, 'you know this doesn't happen all the time, don't you?'" Ru Anna said. 
    "We do know how fortunate we are," Christian added. "Heza Secret Diamond was trainer Scott Willoughby's pick - he has always been high on horses by First Down Express. It was Ru Anna who fell in love with Lindas Dasher from the first minute that she saw her...."
     "I just thought she looked great," she added. "We all pour over the sales books but I usually have a tendency to fall in love with horses because of their looks."
     "When you go to a sale you look at hundreds of horses, so you have to prioritize based on the price and quality," Christian explained. "You look at all these great looking horses and then you look at them again. We realize that it takes a lot of luck and a lot of hard work to get to this point. Heza Secret Diamond began in 2005 season by qualifying to the El Primero Del Ano Derby in April.
