SCHVANEVELDT BACK HOME AFTER SURGERY

All-time leading trainer Blane Schvaneveldt was released from the hospital last Saturday and is now resting at his Cypress home following back surgery said his daughter Shonna Smith. "My dad is doing well and we're happy that he's home," she said. "He's getting stronger every day. He's walking around the house and he's doing his physical therapy. He can't wait to return to the track."

The Hall of Fame trainer can at least enjoy his favorite sport a lot more now that he is home. "They didn't have cable at the hospital so he couldn't watch any racing. But now that he's home he can watch it all day long.  We're just glad that he is home."
