Danny Cardoza, an American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame jockey whose name became synonymous with excellence at Los Alamitos and on racing’s biggest stages, passed away on Monday following a long illness. Thank you Racing Fans for a season high wagering night at Los Alamitos on Sunday, February 1. The Early Pick 4 pool of more than $190,000 was the highest of the season and the Total Pick 6 pool was over $60,000! No Racing on February 7-8 with racing returning on Saturday Night, February 14.
Simulcasting from Santa Anita, Gulfstream, Belmont and more continues this weekend with all the action being offered at Los Alamitos. The Orange County track will also be open for simulcasting seven days a weeks. Burgart's Sports Bar will be open on weekends. The Vessels Club is also open on weekends. Los Alamitos is adding $10,000 to the Pick 6 pool on Sunday nights when there is not a carryover. The $10,000 in extra money is for players to go after in the $2 traditional Pick 6. The $10,000 is added to the Pick 6 pool when there's not a carryover.
