Highlighted by Friday’s early Pick Four pool of $238,006, the second highest ever at Los Alamitos Race Course, the pools in the early Pick Fours at the Orange County oval were an all-time record high during the weekend of November 1st through 3rd.  

Friday’s pool was only $1,862 shy of the all-time record pool in the early Pick Four set back on Sunday, May 7, 2017. The pools remained strong on Saturday, November 2 and Sunday, November 3. Saturday’s pool was $199,549, while Sunday’s was $188,052. Those figures translated to a record average for the week of $208,535, bettering the previous average high for a week of $199,008 set on May 18-20, 2018.  

The November 1-2 early Pick Four pools also set an all-time high for back-to-back nights of $437,555, easily topping the $419,907 pools totaled earlier this year on June 9-10. Combined with the late Pick Four pools (which averaged a solid $143,135 per night), a total of $1,055,014 was wagered on the Pick Fours over the past weekend.

Live racing continues at Los Alamitos on a Friday through Sunday night basis. The track offers two nightly Pick Fours with the Early wager kicking off in race number one while the Late features the final four races on the card each racing night.
