RACE 7
2-YEAR-OLDS MAIDEN CLAIMERS AT 300 YARDS
#1 Incorrigable – April 18 :12.70 – Outside horse
First Down Dash filly outworked the filly Eagle Grove 12.7 to 13.1 while leaving the gate from the outside post. Incorrigable lunged to the inside and bumped her rival and will be asked left handed and will respond to take the lead. She will pull away from Eagle Grove from there and will finish nicely followed by a solid gallop out.
#3 Unusual Sweetness – April 11 :12.90 – Outside
The One Sweet Jess filly out of an Unusual Heat mare, Unusual Sweetness will break in to bump foe and will stick to her rival like a magnet. She will turn her head to the inside for a few strides. She will have more room to operate after the gap, will be flagged three times by her rider while losing some ground and will cross the wire 1 ½ lengths behind rival Da Blue Diablita. Unusual Sweetness finished with a time of 12.9 while Da Blue Diablita posted a time of 12.7.
#4 Flex Jet – April 14 :13.0 – Outside
Favorite Cartel gelding was outworked by Argumentative in this drill 12.3 to 13.0. Argumentative was fifth in a trial to the Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity a week ago. Flex Jet stood nicely awaiting the start before scrapping the side of the gate. He bobbled lightly a few strides into his work, raced in a straight path but trailed early on. Was asked right-handed and floated inward before striding nicely across the wire.
#5 L Bar D Rosie Lee – April 4 :12.60 – Outside
Oregon-bred filly by Hawkinson, L Bar D Rosie Lee worked evenly with AP Corona Classic in 12.6 on April 4. In this drill, she will break in and may have lightly brushed her foe. Her rider does make an adjustment to straighten her out and will move her out slightly. She looks to drift in again and is corrected left-handed. She is asked once more and she will finish ahead of her foe. Her time was the 23rd fastest of 49 drills.
#6 Only Sweet Sister – April 14 :12.80 – Inside
Another filly by One Sweet Jess, Only Sweet Sister will get outworked by Master K Roll 12.4 to 12.8. Master K Roll finished out of the money in a trial to the Kindergarten Futurity a week ago. Only Sweet Sister will stand nicely in the gate before breaking to the inside. She will straighten out after the gap and is asked right-handed. She is even with Master K Roll at this point, but soon after her rival will begin to pull away. She is tapped once and will finish two lengths behind.
