CHRIS WADE'S PICKS TO CLICK FOR LOS ALAMITOS FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 18
Tonight's BEST BET goes in the Opening Leg of one of the Best Best in all of Night Racing, the Late PK 4 here at Prestigious Los Alamitos where the pools are Gigantic and the return on your investment could be the same with a nice priced winner along the way. In Race 5, the # 8-EAGLES ROOST improved immensely in his 2nd career start off the long 294 night layoff after prepping well for said event (B/Grade) prior. In the return effort, the Big Bodied Well Bred and like Connected Runner broke outwards and was brushed inward steadily to lose over a length of ground and his early racing momentum. After the tough getaway, this runner put forth a nice run past the gap to garner a semblance of contention prior to finishing nicely for a better than looked" 3rd place finish prior to a Big Gallop out past the wire. With a solid figure earned with all factored (trouble @ track variant) in and with an expected step forward in his 2nd start back along with two equipment changes (blinkers @ lasix on) this night, we'll push this runner harshly as the deserving favorite. The PRICE PLAYER on the Saturday Night Race-Card will be in the 8th and Final Event for quality connections that do well with entrants of this ilk. In Race 8, the # 5-PHOEBES BABY GIRL finished a solid 3rd versus a well meant long gone winner and after a less than stellar start and ensuing early crossing by a quicker rival. In said start, this runner leaned back at the getaway to lose her best chance at the underneath exacta placing. After the tough start, this entrant put forth a nice run midway to be 2nd early until finishing steadily for 3rd nearing the wire. The number earned is very competitive in the finale and the Filly will improve off the respite for a quality shed-row that's a solid 31% these last 30 night's of racing. Good Luck Everybody ! ! !
4TH 2-GOTTA REASON prepped well for the debut but was a disappointing 5th in a needed effort while still earning a decent figure and and expected step forward this night should make some amends for her prior backers for a solid barn 1-MISS LETHAL HERO went well for the runner-up placing at a medium mutual 9 nights ago and should be the main threat to the top selection with an expected step onward this night 8-LIPSTICK LOU improved immensely in her 2nd daylight prep for a solid shed-row that's doing well with the 2 year old set this season thus far and if wagered upon, she'll be a player in here tonight.
5TH 4-CURLS COOKIE WAGON was very impressive in her 2nd daytime prep for a solid baby barn and the bottom side breeding is stellar while anything close to a repeat from said workout this night, then this event could be "all over from the get-go" at hopefully the morning line 10-SHE LOOKS RACY worked nicely for this debut in her lone morning prep and the broodmare numbers are top-notch with baby (43%)) firsters 6-SHAUNDAS HERO finished steadily for 3rd in a needed career debut for an up and coming shed-row that's going great guns as we speak and the speedster will improve tonight.
6TH 6-OUR HIDDEN SECRET went way "better than looked" for 4th versus tougher in her last at ole' Will Rogers when earning this events top figure and easily and the drop in class should enhance this runners chances 1-BV WILDFLOWER is as consistent as they come with an on the board finish in all career starts and the Filly calls a solid shed-row home and on the numbers, this should be the main threat to the topper albeit at a shorter price 2-CHICKS ARE KOOL JESS is an in and outer deluxe who will be a player in here with an "innie" for a good small shed-row that has a solid (25%) jockey/trainer combo in tow.
7TH 7-RING TAILED TOOTER went "better than looked" for 5th versus solid opposition in last last while earning a quality figure for tonight's endeavor for a quality shed-row that does well with runners of this kind 6-UNO MAS DOS went well for the runner-up spot in his last when earning a decent figure when all said and was done from said affair that gives the good looker a look in here for a solid barn 8-CL FLEW THE COOP has earned a figure in his last 3 that are competitive in here and either puts the speedster in the mix for a barn that's new to us but the gelding has shown an affinity for this racing surface.
8TH 10-FAVORITE VALENTINE Z improved immensely in her 2nd career morning prep when 10th best of 161 that day and an expected step onward this night could and should make the speedster a player in here and at a nice number 1-THE MONEY HUNNY lost all chance in a needed debut for a quality shed-row that's doing well with the baby set as usual this season and with a needed race out of the way, a player in here this runner should be 2-FANCEE LIKE THIS has looked okay in her morning preps on paper but the shed-row does well with these kinda ehhhh preps and at a medium mutual more often than not.
9TH 2-HEZA CLASSY NOW has been "right there" on many an occasion versus quality opposition in Texas and in New Mexico prior while earning this events top figure and will be tough to deny on the ship-in from a good inside post draw 1-BAKERS BIG OL BOY has crushed solid rivals in each of the speedsters last two while putting up comparable figures to our topper albeit versus slightly less on my charts but still will give the favorite a run for all the money from the get-go 4-KATCH THIS EAGLE has the right kind of style to be a player in the later stages of this affair and the "turn timer" has steadily moved forward since entering this barn and another step forward gives the 5 year old a look in here at a medium mutual.
10TH 10-MISTAKIN IDENITY exits a " much better than looked" 8th place finish versus quality Futurity Competition while still earning a solid figure with all factored in and the outside post draw should enhance an expected clean start and ensuing journey to help the good looker along he way 6-ONE BIG FAMOUS LEW has improved in each subsequent start for a solid medium sized shed-row on my charts and with another one expected now as a bigger, as a faster, and as a more mature older runner, we'll push this runner steadily to be a player in here for a solid jockey/trainer (25%) combo 3-BV DONT LOOK BACK finished slightly behind our topper in their like last event and this gelding resides in a barn having a stellar early season with with entrants and a typical effort gives this entrant a look in here at a medium price.
11TH 8-VALIANTS DASH exits a much troubled effort as the favorite against quality opposition in New Mexico while still earning a solid figure with all factored in and the "blinkers off" equipment change could wake the long strider up tonight for a solid barn on the ship-in 6-MISS ELLENS ANGEL improved immensely in his last at a big price at ole' Will Rogers when earning a number that is very competitive in here and the shed-row is a solid 29% with entrants of this ilk 1-TRAVELIN PERRY has been very close in all career starts for a quality shed-row that's been doing well this early part of the racing season and a contender for all the board placings this runner shall be.
CHRIS WADE'S PICKS TO CLICK FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 19 AT LOS ALAMITOS
Tonight's PRICE PLAYER will go in the final leg of the Best Bet in all of night racing, the Early Pick Four here at Prestigious Los Alamitos where the Pools are Gigantic and the return on your investment could be the same with a nice priced winner along the way. In Race 4, the # 1-GIANT'S BRITE EYE exits a career best earning effort on my charts when dueling throughout and finishing a solid 3rd at a huge mutual (69-1) across Town 10 days ago. In said affair, the gelding broke well to be a 3 wide all 2nd for most of said journey prior to slipping back slightly to garner the trifecta placing nearing the wire. The figure earned is steadily best in this otherwise closely matched event and the jockey/trainer combo is a quality (21%) when lining up together. The BEST BET on the Sunday Evening Race-Card will be in the 7th of 8 quality filled well matched events for a shed-row that's doing well (21%) these last 30 Nights of Racing. In Race 7, the # 2-STRAWFINDERS CORONA is a Big Bodied trouble prone runner deluxe who's seemingly coming around to the ability we've always thought he had somewhere deep down inside. The 4 year old went well in his last for a "much better than looked" runner-up effort despite a tough start when the long strider got slightly fractious in the gate prior to back bobbling and getting bumped back to lose a length and a half to a perfect tripped winner. After the tough getaway, the 4 year old put forth a Big Run past the gap to reach contention and the leveled out strongly to garner the underneath exacta placing at a nice price. The figure earned is steadily best in here and If an elusive clean start is in the offing, then this improving sort should be tough to deny as the deserving favorite on my numbers. Good Luck Everybody ! ! !
