In 2025, the Los Alamitos Equine Sale staff is once again dedicated to continuing the tradition of high standards set by Quarter Horse racing industry leaders like Ed Allred, Dr. Steve Burns and the Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Racing Association and the late greats Frank “Scoop” Vessels, Bud Alessio and John Andreini to make this sale a special event in every facet possible. From day one of the inaugural Los Alamitos Equine Sale held in 2005, the priorities and goals of the Sale have been simple: Strengthen the working and business relationships with the Quarter Horse racing industry while constantly improving all aspects of the sale to achieve success for everyone involved.
“I still remember the first day we walked into what is now the grounds of the Los Alamitos Equine Sale with “Scoop” Vessels,” Ed Allred said. “We looked at each other and agreed that this was the place to have this sale. From that moment on we’ve done everything possible each year to have a sale that is well managed and enjoyable to attend.”
